Beginning of my blog

I was a rookie programmer when I started college and began coding in my first semester. Seeing all the cool people maintaining a blog, I thought why not give it a try. There is still some folder called “My Blog” containing all the old static html files somewhere in my hard disk.

(Update: I had shifted to jekyll - markdown based blog via github.io) (New Update: I am currently using hugo!)

Although, you are still viewing static html files, I don’t maintain them anymore :P
I was fed up with writing HTML/CSS files, and planned on using markdown parsing (Mission Accomplished :P)

Before starting college, I was very fascinated by math and computers, thus, making my choice of major - Computer Science and Engineering. As I began coding via “Introduction to Programming” course offered in first year, I started exploring multiple areas from different sources. Some of these were:

Since I was focussing most of my time into exploring programming and computer science, it didn’t really help my first semester coursework a lot. Although, I don’t regret it at all because I had a lot of fun learning so many things and I couldn’t just stop.

Later, “just to try”, I had also joined our institute’s Competitive Programming Group (you probably can’t access it if you are not a member :)). Although, I realized Competitive Programming is something which I won’t be interested in anytime (more on that later…)
